About the Role

As a member of the Finance team, you will be integral in efficiently scaling a public company. You will lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the marketing organization – inclusive of the annual planning process, interim forecasts, and own internal management and Board reporting. You will need strong analytical and system skills in this role. You have the ability to understand the Company’s financial model and strategic goals, while also being very detail oriented. You have experience analyzing marketing spend and its related KPI’s in e-commerce, and/or technology business. You will work alongside many key business partners and work cross-functionally to drive analysis and insights.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of financial analysis experience with exposure to forecasting, budgeting and monthly close activities
  • You have experience partnering with a sophisticated marketing organization on ROI analysis, forecasting, and decision making 
  • You have superior Excel/Gsuite skills, financial modeling, and can put together a mean deck
  • You possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills

Responsibilities and Duties

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Partner with Marketing, Data Science, Merchandising Planning, and the Business lines to develop marketing and revenue forecasts
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to drive decision-making
  • Manage and track financial performance against KPI’s, seasonal financial plans, and annual budget
  • Identify and quantify risk or upside due to business environment and provide solutions
  • Lead monthly business review presentations, recapping results vs. plan and forecast for management meetings
  • Lead special projects as needed to provide analytical and decision support on new initiatives
  • Work with IT, Business Intelligence, and Algorithm teams to develop tools, enhance existing reporting, and improve business processes
  • Oversee marketing month-end close process, including reconciliation of variances between trend and financial sales data, mining data to identify discrepancies and partnering with IT to resolve issues
